CD containing original music and songs from the stage-show 'Monboddo - the Musical'. Premiered in Aberdeen in late 2010, the musical tells the tale of Lord Monboddo from his youth spent at Crathes Castle, through his legal career and family life. Well ahead of his time, Monboddo campaigned for human rights, for justice and for his belief that man was the result of a process of biological evolution. During his lifetime he was regarded as somewhat odd - but history has proved that he was not completely off the mark!
The songs and music were all commissioned and written for the show.
